ScHoolboy Q’s new single shows that “Man of the Year” is more than some award GQ gives out

ScHoolboy Q, a rapper from LA, is probably best known for having a guest verse on Macklemore’s current hit “White Walls” despite rapping seriously since 2006 .  The rapper’s first single from his new album and major label debut album is titled “Man of the Year” and it should cause more people to take notice.  ScHoolboy Q isn’t breaking any new ground lyrically or sonically, but it hardly matters with his dense rhymes and an absolute beast of a chorus.  Declaring yourself “Man of the Year” is admittedly a bold statement, but I think what’s important is that when you’re listening to the swagger-filled chorus, it’s hard for you not to feel like the man of the year.

“Bro, I see girls everywhere”
